Yesterday while training I was approached by one of the \"fitness professionals\" at my gym...
Yesterday while training I was approached by one of the "fitness professionals" at my gym and was told to remove my gym bag from the floor or leave the premises. Now, I carry all the stuff I need to work out with in my bag, Straps, wraps, belt, water, towel, etc... As I know quite a few serious bodybuilders do also. I feel it is much better than having everything all over the floor while a person is training. Now don't get me wrong I realize why the rule of no gym bags on the floor is in place ( so not to keep the floor cluttered), but What about all the shmucks that just leave there weights in the middle of the floor or throw their nasty bottled protein drinks away on the floor? I asked the so called Fitness professional" (which by the way was an out of shape person in their early twenties) if it was better to have my stuff scattered all over the floor than in my gym bag; and her reply was "yes" so, I plopped all my shit down right in front of her and she tripped on my water bottle while leavening... I found out later that session that some guy who almost got into a fight with some other gym rat for having his bag out had narked me out. Why did he not approach me and do the same? Yes, Size does matter gentlemen LOL... Anyways, it's obvious I train at one of the gyms that seem to sprout up everywhere in the world and not some Hard core establishment... (24 hour fitness btw) I train here more for convenience than any other reason. I live in the Dallas area and have a 24 hour 2 min from my work and 10 min from my home and if I am away on business I know there will usually be a 24 hour in the city I am in. I realize that a lot of this has to do with my environment, but 3 of the 24 hours I go to on a regular basis have a large bodybuilding crowd with people just like me and who knows maybe like many of you too. I know I might sound like a whiney bitch but having the first words any gym employee at 24 hour fitness has pissed me off. I'm guess I'm just curious to see how many of you have had similar experiences with 24 hour fitness Ballys or like establishments? Oh and if you agree with me feel free to e-mail 24 hour fitness and speak your mind. Thanks for letting me Vent.
